Join me for an evening of chocolate-fuelled dancing and heart-centred sharing as we head towards a New Moon in Scorpio. We will be drinking ceremonial-grade cacao from Guatemala, dancing our intentions and using this powerful plant as our guide as we explore our inner landscapes through the wisdom of the body.
The ceremony will begin with a short movement warm up to help us land in the space, connect to our bodies and shake off the tensions of the week. We will then sit in circle together to drink the cacao, sharing our intentions and offering our prayers and dedications to the Universe. This process can take up to 45 minutes depending on our group size. Following this, we will transition into dance, moving however we feel to move to the music. This is our opportunity to bring ourselves more deeply into present moment, weaving stronger connections between body, breath, heart and mind. We will dance for approximately one hour before gradually slowing into a savasana (supine) meditation, allowing our bodies to process all that we've experienced.
This is an opportunity to move and to find stillness, to share and to listen, to witness and be witnessed, to connect with others and with ourselves and dance the road less travelled from the head to the heart.
Tickets are £20 and can be purchased here.
- When should I arrive? -
The space will be open from 6.45 and we will begin the ceremony promptly at 7pm.
- What should I wear? -
Whatever you are comfortable dancing in - feel free to dress up or dress down. Everything is welcome!
- What should I bring? -
A bottle of water to stay hydrated and a warm layer for the meditation. You are also welcome to bring an offering for the altar - a crystal, flowers, a piece of jewelery, anything that may have some sentimental value to you that you would like to charge with the energy of the ceremony.
- Do I need to do anything to prepare? -
Try if you can to avoid caffeine, drugs and alcohol for at least 24 hours beforehand. Avoid food intake for between 2-6 hours prior to the ceremony. A short fast will allow the cacao to work deeper but listen to what feels right for your own body, if you need to eat beforehand - please do so!
► Please note: Cacao in ceremonial doses is not recommended if you are on anti-depressants, suffer from Crohn's Disease or have a serious heart condition. You're welcome to still come and experience the ceremony without ingesting any cacao at a discounted price - feel free to get in touch to discuss further.
